Carol supervises accounting and financial reporting. Her primary goals are to expand the capacity of our financial infrastructure and to provide accurate, timely, and useful information to internal users and external stakeholders. Carol is responsible for revamping and maintaining systems to support increased complexity and growth (accounting, reporting, benefits, and human resources), and codifying existing practice into policies, procedures, and accounting routines.
For the last 20 years Carol has helped organizations to stabilize and prosper during periods of change—for the last 10 years as Principal in her own consulting practice, Clarity Consulting Partners, and prior to that as Director of Financial Consulting Services for Third Sector New England, and in various CFO positions. Carol’s specialty is as Interim Director, having led several turnarounds in that role. She has guided organizations through expansions, board renewal, management crises, and state budget cuts, working closely with stakeholders to strengthen and transform organizations from the inside out.
While Carol loves biking, kayaking, dancing, and adventure travels, her activities in the last decade or so have turned toward cooking, chauffeuring, and cheerleading—you guessed it, she’s a Mom! As a family, Carol and her daughter enjoy beach time, exploring Cambodian culture, and hanging out with friends. She is an active Unitarian Universalist and a regular participant at Family Week in Provincetown, MA.
