Julie is responsible for identifying, recruiting, hiring, and retaining exceptional talent at ERS during a period of significant growth for the organization. When she joined ERS in 2005, Julie worked on our Small Schools study supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; she conducted and wrote case studies and contributed to the Strategic Designs report. She also contributed to ERS knowledge management efforts, including capturing lessons learned from the field and sharing it across ERS teams to inform all ongoing projects.
Prior to joining ERS, Julie was a Program Associate at the Education Alliance at Brown University. As part of the Secondary School Redesign team, she provided technical assistance to Small Learning Communities grantees.
Julie was a competitive rower in college and spends as much time on the water as she can. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children on the New Hampshire seacoast, cheering on the New England Patriots, serving on the board of a local preschool, and coaching youth soccer.
