As a respected community leader with 35 years of experience with Boston Public Schools (BPS), as well as experience mentoring dozens of principals, Dr. Linda Nathan was chosen to study the BPS' autonomy. Over the past year—with the help of ERS and the Center for Collaborative Education—she convened a team of 30 school and central office leaders to take on the difficult conversations required to resolve tensions in the system and propose a new district-wide vision for school autonomy.
Dr. Nathan recently contributed a guest column about her experience to WBUR's Learning Lab.
