Obama Race To The Top Speech

President Obama gave a speech today in Madison, Wisconsin about the Race to the Top grants and his commitment to “stop just talking about education reform and actually start doing it.”  He outlined what the priorities are for states competing for Race to the Top—including (1) aligned standards and assessments (2) improving the quality of teachers and principals (3) data systems that support instruction and (4) turning around low-performing schools.
