Hayley Bacon

Since joining ERS in 2019, Hayley has worked on projects with district partners in a variety of content areas, including long-term financial sustainability, resource equity, schedule design, and funding model design. Hayley worked with Hartford Public Schools over several years to develop staffing and scheduling plans for fall 2020 reopening; develop plans to invest federal stimulus funds in ways that are aligned with district strategic priorities; and support planning and execution of Hartford’s Strategic Operating Plan and stimulus spending plans.

Hayley has also played a key role in several projects focused on resource equity, including the Alliance for Resource Equity team and an Equity Snapshot analysis in Gwinnett County Public Schools. Hayley is a member of ERS’s Human Capital Practice Area, where she has led work related to reimagining the teaching job.

Before joining ERS, Hayley taught sixth grade math at Argosy Collegiate Charter School in Fall River, MA as part of Teach For America. Prior to that, Hayley worked at Altman Solon (formerly Altman Vilandrie & Company), a strategy consulting firm focused on the technology, media, and telecom industries. Hayley earned a B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College and an Ed.M. in Curriculum & Teaching from the Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development.

Outside of ERS, Hayley enjoys exploring New England on her bike, trying new recipes, and playing with her dog, Maple.
