Jada Alexander

Since joining ERS in 2024, Jada has partnered with districts to address challenges related to resource equity, schedule and staffing model design, and school portfolio strategy. She contributed to Pittsburgh Public Schools’ portfolio redesign efforts by supporting stakeholder engagement, including designing community-facing presentation materials, developing surveys for a diverse group of stakeholders, and synthesizing qualitative feedback to inform the district’s overall portfolio strategy. Jada also co-designed an eight-month virtual Community of Practice for over 30 district leaders from 9 districts in the Large Countywide Consortium, focused on addressing enrollment decline through student-centered portfolio strategies. Topics included small school optimization, stakeholder engagement and change management, the economics of school portfolio changes, and implementation planning.  

In addition to her school portfolio work, Jada supported North East ISD in San Antonio, Texas in designing innovative teacher teaming models and defining success metrics for piloting these models across two schools. Within ERS, she contributed to the Leadership Development Practice Area–supporting work that builds the capacity of education leaders to act on strategic resource use–by codifying best practices and resources to help ERS team members lead leadership development efforts and by defining success metrics for this type of work.  

Before joining ERS, Jada served as a founding staff member and Program Manager at Minds Matter Boston, where she oversaw college access and success programming, managed a team of volunteer leaders, and led student and volunteer recruitment. Jada holds a BA in Psychology with a minor in Urban Education from New York University and an MBA from the Heller School of Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University. A proud alumna of Boston Public Schools, Jada was also born and raised in Boston, MA.
