Julia Hines

Julia is the Executive Administrator to Partners Jess O’Connor and Emily Parfit. She also serves as a People Operations Specialist.

Julia is a systems-focused administrator committed to creating efficiency and cultivating a positive culture in mission-driven nonprofit organizations. With a diverse background in teaching and filmmaking, Julia developed a unique ability to manage complex projects, foster collaboration, and create elegant solutions from ambiguity. In her role at ERS, she supports leadership by streamlining daily operations, overseeing project lifecycle processes, and driving process improvements that enable the organization to do its best work.

Julia grew up in Everett, Massachusetts. Her academic career began at Boston University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Film, and continued at American International College, where she earned Master of Education. Prior to starting at ERS, Julia taught early elementary students in Winchester and Brookline Public Schools.

Outside of work, Julia explores Boston’s independent cinemas, flea markets, and music festivals. At home, she cares for an extensive collection of houseplants. Except for the Monstera deliciosa—that’s really more of a roommate.
