Mauro currently works as part of the ESSER strategy team, providing direct support and group workshops to cohorts of districts in Indiana and Tennessee. His work is focused on helping districts achieve ESSER plans that are strategic, sustainable, and equitable.
Mauro spent school year 20-21 partnering with Tulsa Public Schools, conducting a wide range of analyses around enrollment projections, magnet schools, and Central Office staff composition. Prior to starting at ERS, Mauro studied Public Policy and Psychology at the University of Chicago and held several positions in the educational field, including team leader at Jumpstart, intern at the Department of Student Assessment in Chicago Public Schools, and educator at Peer Health Exchange.
Outside of work Mauro enjoys playing chess semi-professionally, going to live music events, and biking around Boston.
