Senior Editor in Content Development and Distribution
Melissa has a key role in writing and editing ERS content, from white papers to blog posts. She also focuses on how to best disseminate ERS’ tools and publications to educational leaders, and to develop compelling narratives that convey what ERS has learned from schools.
Melissa has a background in both education and journalism. Prior to joining ERS, she taught English with Teach for America in Houston, Texas; worked with several education non-profits; and was a reporter for KUHF-Houston Public Radio. Her work has also appeared in conjunction with News21, WNET’s MetroFocus, and WBUR.
Outside of ERS, Melissa loves to cook (especially when she can make up recipes), dance (especially swing dance), travel (especially internationally), and spend time with friends. She's been involved in several Jewish groups around Boston and trains in Krav Maga.
