Associate
As an Associate, Melissa conducts analyses, contextualizes findings, and works with district partners to make data-driven decisions on how to strategically allocate their resources and design strong schools. Melissa currently works on the Nashville Sustainable Transformation team to help the Metro Nashville Public School district best utilize ESSER funds to address the impact of the pandemic and align with their "build toward" vision for schools.
Before joining ERS, Melissa was a 7th grade math teacher and grade chair at Blackstone Valley Prep Mayoral Academy in Central Falls, RI. She also taught 6th grade math and ELD at Providence Public Schools as part of Teach For America. Prior to that, Melissa worked at Public Consulting Group, a public sector consulting firm, where she worked on Medicaid program integrity in the Health Practice Area. Melissa earned a B.A. in Public Policy and Economics from Duke University and an M.Ed. in Secondary Education from Rhode Island College.
Outside of work Melissa enjoys cooking for friends, training for her next race, hiking in the White Mountains, and checking off another country on her travel bucket list.
