As a member of the Shelby County Schools team, Molly is investigating how charter schools in Memphis, Tennessee use their funds and staff. She and her team aim to highlight the similarities and differences in how these resources are used at charter schools and district schools in the county. As she dives into budget data, Molly is motivated by ERS's focus on equity and on adapting funding to serve the students who need it most.
Molly earned her B. S. in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University. She spent her afternoons in Yale's Center for Teaching and Learning, where she supported a team that trains college science instructors to bring inclusive teaching strategies and active learning methods into their labs and lecture halls.
On her days off, Molly is gradually hiking her way through New Hampshire's Presidential mountain range with any friends or family who can be convinced that the rocks at the top are better than the ones at the bottom.
