Nate Okun

As Associate Director of Technology, Nate leads the technology function at ERS: the cloud environment, enterprise systems, and AI infrastructure that ERS consultants depend on in their work. He partners with leadership to align technology and AI investments with the organization’s priorities, and works to ensure the tools the team uses every day are secure, practical, and actually adopted. Nate believes technology should remove friction rather than add it, and that the best systems are the ones the people who rely on them can understand.

Nate brings more than 15 years of technology leadership in mission-driven and services-oriented organizations. He came to ERS from Vista Higher Learning, an education publisher, where he led the information technology team and brought automation and enterprise AI tools to staff across the company. Before that he spent 13 years at CIC, scaling IT across innovation and lab space in North America, Europe, and Asia, and standing up the technology and provisioning behind CIC Health’s COVID testing and vaccination response. 

Outside of work, Nate enjoys reading, nature, and photography. He spends his time with his wife Hillary, their two kids Ada and Aaron, and their two dogs Kaylee and Patric.
