Email Ray

Ray currently works with the Texas Education Agency and the Texas Impact Network to design and facilitate a cohort of districts implementing an extended school year. Ray and his team work with districts to develop effective community engagement strategies, design an extended year plan that improves student outcomes and experiences, and consider program costs and tradeoffs to maximize the program’s impact while considering long-term sustainability. He also works with districts in Arizona to reimagine the teaching job through the development of teacher leadership roles, grade level teams, flexible grouping and collaborative planning time.

Before joining ERS, Ray helped design, launch, and serve as principal of a blended learning middle school with Match Education in Boston. He is a former middle school history teacher and completed his Doctor of Education Leadership (Ed.L.D.) at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and his B.A. at the University of Notre Dame.

Outside of work Ray enjoys riding his bike, skiing, and spending time with his family.
