Rose Carlson
Rose is the Strategic Executive Administrator to CEO Jonathan Travers, Founder-in-Residence Karen Miles, and Senior Advisor / Of Counsel Katie Roy. She also serves as Associate Director of Administration.
As associate director of ERS’ vibrant Administrative Team and a member of the Core Services Leadership Team, Rose plays a key role in developing structures and alignments that strengthen ERS. She brings to bear an approach that is both tactical and practical, as well as creative and collaborative. In this way, Rose’s strategy and expertise serve to sustain and uphold the relationships, systems, and events that maximize the impact of ERS.
With 30 years of experience in business management, administration, and finance, Rose has worked in a variety of fields, including real estate, philanthropy, publishing, architecture, interior design, and the performing arts. Most recently, she was the Chief Financial Officer of Beacon Hill Books & Café in Boston.
In addition to her business adventures, Rose enjoys a tandem career in theatre and film as an actor, director, producer, designer, and cinematographer. She has been involved in over 150 plays, films, and video projects. Rose is the founder and Executive Director of Devanaughn Theatre, which produced 19 shows at the Piano Factory in Boston, including 5 annual Dragonfly Festivals showcasing over 100 new plays.
