As an Analyst Consultant, Sam generates hypotheses, processes and analyzes data, and contextualizes findings in order to support district partners in making data-driven strategic decisions to improve student experiences and outcomes. She is currently part of a team supporting Indianapolis Public Schools in assessing student needs, revenue distribution, special education disparities, capital investments, and resource optimization for a November 2024 voter referendum.
Before joining ERS, Sam completed her bachelor’s degree in sociology and statistics at Colby College while working in the admissions office. Sam’s passion for education took root when she joined Minds Matter Boston as a volunteer. For over three years she mentored a high school student through the college process and sat on the young professionals' board. Because of that experience she went on to work full-time for the organization to support their fundraising, operations, and communications efforts. She also worked in admissions at Kingsley Montessori School.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys exploring the Boston food scene, planning her next travel adventure, and embracing all things cozy by crocheting on the couch while sipping a warm drink in front of the tv.
