Since joining ERS in 2015, Sarah has worked with school, system, and national education leaders to transform how they use people, time, and money to best meet the needs of their students and teachers. Her work has taken her across the country, from California to Indiana to Massachusetts, and throughout the southern United States (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Virginia). She has worked closely with school leaders to reimagine the teaching job, provide opportunities for acceleration and enrichment for students, and integrate social emotional supports. Sarah has also partnered with district leaders to redesign teacher compensation systems, support long-term financial planning, and understand how resources are being used to create equitable, high-quality learning experiences for all students. Internally, Sarah supports and coordinates professional learning opportunities for the ERS team.
Prior to joining ERS, Sarah graduated with distinction from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University, where she studied Strategy & Management Consulting and Social Enterprise. During her undergraduate career, she consulted for various Atlanta-area nonprofits, tutored students in the refugee community of Clarkston, GA, and worked with Education Pioneers in her hometown of New Orleans — experiences that cemented her commitment to working in K-12 education and helped bring her to ERS.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys cooking, traveling, horseback riding, and becoming emotionally invested in episodes of The Great British Bake-Off with her fiancé. A New Orleans native, she is proud to have weathered six New England winters (and counting!).
