Associate Director of Communications
As the Associate Director of Communications, Sarah leads ERS’ content and distribution strategy. Sarah helps create, publish, and amplify actionable, research-driven, and data-informed pieces that empower school district leaders to make changes that stimulate greater equity in K-12 education. Sarah has led the development of content packages like Reimagining the Teaching Job, which focuses on how to make teaching a more sustainable profession to the benefit of both educators and students—particularly in our highest-need schools.
Prior to ERS, Sarah served as a content and brand manager for Year Up, a national non-profit that provides skills training and internship opportunities for young adults ages 17-24. She’s also held content strategy roles in marketing agencies, corporate business services, and start-ups.
Sarah grew up in Western Massachusetts before moving to Edinburgh, Scotland where she obtained a B.A. from the University of Edinburgh. After a number of years in Boston, she recently relocated to Denver in pursuit of slightly sunnier winters. Outside of work, Sarah loves to bake, powerlift, knit, and explore the Colorado mountains with her fiancé Aybars and greyhound Kuzco.
