Analyst
Yifan currently works on the Nashville Sustainable Transformation team to help Metro Nashville Public Schools district best utilize ESSER funds to address the impacts of COVID-19 on students. With her team, she has conducted analyses on teacher retention rates and is now working on drawing insights about how financial resources are currently utilized across the district. She is also on a team supporting the Dallas Resource Equity Office track and monitor the progress the district has made since ERS's initial resource equity work there in 2019.
Before joining ERS, Yifan was a student at Harvard University majoring in Sociology. During her time there, she discovered her passion in education, which has led her to summer internship opportunities in working at an education nonprofit in Beijing and a women's university in Tokyo. She has worked at her school's Office of Career Services as an intern and served as a student director for a citizenship program that provided free classes to support Boston immigrants in their path to becoming a U.S. citizen.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending her free time reading, volunteering, and enjoying the sunset along the Boston Esplanade.
