Advancing Resource Equity: Teaching Quality & Diversity

An ARE learning session for district equity leaders

On Friday, April 9, 2021, the Alliance for Resource Equity (ARE) hosted their third Learning Series session on the most critical resource equity actions that districts can take to direct resources where they are needed most during this COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. The session focused on Teaching Quality & Diversity and featured panelists from Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS),  Dr. Patricia Payne (Director, Racial Equity Office) and Alex Moseman (Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition). The panelists discussed how IPS’s shared mission and language around racial equity is being integrated into the district's approach to hiring and supporting teachers. Check out the video to hear more!

You can also explore ARE’s resources at educationresourceequity.org, including the 10 dimensions framework, Resource Equity Diagnostic, and Teaching Quality & Diversity Guidebook
