Tools for California Districts

California-Specific Tools for Resource Use and Budgeting

With the enactment of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) in 2013, California districts face an unprecedented opportunity to make big changes. With increased budgets and more flexibility, now is the time to consider how all resources are used, not just the incremental funds. Resource Check is a self-assessment tool that helps you determine where to start, and these versions are tailored to California school districts. School Budget Hold'em is our budget trade-off game, and this version incorporates California's priorities for the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP).

Resource Check can be completed on your own or with a group to compare answers. To set up a group, contact Kristan Singleton, our Director of Tools and Technologies.
