5 Key Messaging Imperatives to Build Alignment Among District Leaders, School Boards, and Cabinets

With support from advocacy communications firm RALLY, ERS convened leaders from roughly 10 large school districts to talk about ESSER messaging challenges. The group discussed how theyas district leaders responsible for the effective use of COVID-relief fundingcan help set the tone in their district. Here, we outline 5 Key Messaging Imperatives to help district leaders effectively message ESSER plans to school  boards,  cabinets,  and  other  central office leaders.

The deck also features sample slides from two districts (Indianapolis Public Schools and Hartford Public Schools) that have taken a proactive approach to messaging their ESSER strategy to their local school boards.
