With support from advocacy communications firm RALLY, ERS convened leaders from roughly 10 large school districts to talk about ESSER messaging challenges. The group discussed how they—as district leaders responsible for the effective use of COVID-relief funding—can help set the tone in their district. Here, we outline 5 Key Messaging Imperatives to help district leaders effectively message ESSER plans to school boards, cabinets, and other central office leaders.
