For students of color and many students with higher needs — including students from low-income backgrounds, students with disabilities, English learners, and students experiencing homeless, foster care, or the juvenile justice system —COVID-19 has compounded existing educational challenges. Americans are increasingly attuned to our nation’s inequities and are expressing a willingness to do something about it. Polling data shows that most Americans agree: we need more resources for the most impacted students.
